Shady summer

Sunglasses are one of those great accessories that anyone can wear and afford. They can actually be a mini makeover. With so many affordable price points, you can literally sport a new pair for everyday of the week. Some big trends for sunglasses this summer are bold colors, two tone frames , aviators, and the stylish wayfarers.

Consider your face shape when updating sunglasses. A round face can handle wide angular styles; stay away from anything too soft or round.  Round, oval or curved frames will soften a square face; stay away from boxy and angular frames. With a longer face shape, wide oversize frames can bring the face into proportion.

Keep in mind these basic rules when buying new sunglasses. First, make sure that they protect your eyes.  Joy Gibb from the Vision Council recommends that they have a 99% UVA and UVB ray protection. Second, try on a variety of different styles. Don’t fall for only trendy styles and make sure they look good on your face. Third, store the beauties in their case no matter how tempted you are to throw them in your bag. Use the small microfiber cleaning cloth when needed and your good to go.
